Post 8: A subject you enjoyed studying

 Hi everyone!

This post is important because it's the last. I really liked writing and read about different topics.

Today I will talk about of chemistry, but not only chemistry, organic chemistry.

This subject (organic chemistry) it was one of the ones that I have liked the most to study these three semesters that I have been studying. It is an integrating subject.

I consider  is one of the ones the most important subjects, because it is framework of the drugs production. It is the language that I will use from now on. For these reasons and I enjoy it more. It is very great to be able to relate what you have learned with daily life

I learned to name organic compounds, its structures and now how to synthesize compounds.

Before studying I thought it would be a complicated subject and now I keep that thought hahaha. It is not easy, but with mucho study is possible.

I like challenges, and organic chemistry is one for me, I see it like this because I consider a good form to achieve success in it.

Post 7: An expert / person in your field that you admire

 Hi everyone!

I still don't know many people in the area of chemistry and pharmacy, but there is one person that I admire in the area of chemistry: Marie Curie.  Today I will talk about her.

In general I admire all women who are dedicated to science, especially those who did it in the past, when it was very difficult. There was a lot of discrimination to the woman in differents areas. A clear example is in 1903 when Marie and her husband won The Nobel Prize of Physics, in that case they did not permit what Marie received the prize only for be woman. Her husband took the credit.

Marie was not always be dear, received bad comments from the people for things that had nothing to do with her intellectual area. Still, she continued to strive, until in 1911 won the Nobel Prize of chemistry for isolate pure radius, with it contributed in the health for the first world war.

Marie was born in November 1867 in Poland and died in July 1934 in France. She died of aplastic anemia, attributed to his direct contact with radium and polonium. In simple words, Marie dedicated her life to science and opened the way for women in science.

Post 6: How can your major make the world a better place?

Hi everyone! Today I will talk about of my major: Chemistry and Pharmacy.

My major, Chemistry and Pharmacy, positively affects, because contributes to the health and well-being of people.

I look good in this process, with ups and downs, leading to a path: research to produce new drugs and  help people.

My mayor is a great contribution, in fact, I consider it essential, because it is directly related to the health of people and animals. The production of medicines and health products is something we see commonly, but unfortunately people do not know that behind it there is a famraceutical chemist seeking to produce new medicines and improve old ones.

Also, in this context of COVID-19, pharmaceutical chemists are working on the production of vaccines, generation of doses in hospitals, sales in pharmacies

Post 5: A photo and its story

 Hi

Today I will talk about of this photo:

This photo is very important to me, as it is of my first pet, a hamster. Her name was Ágata. I loved her very much, she was my partner in this pandemic, she was always there. She was very small and every time I look at it, she reminds me of the beautiful moments we spent together.

I am interested because it is the photo I chose to put next to his amphora.

The photo was taken by my sister a week before her death. She appears eating strawberry for the first time, she was very happy and she looked very pretty, she was very cute and tender.

Post 4: A meal or food you really like

 Hi everyone!

Today I will talk about one of the things that I like the most: food.

My favorite food dish is the "pastel de choclo", I really like because is very complete, It has many things that I like, such as olives, onion, basil, meat, egg and others.

I love Italian food: pastas, as ravioli, sorrentinos, panzotti and I like the prosciutto and pizza.

Also I love Peruvian food, its seasoning.

My weakness is chocolate and avocado, OMG! I really like them.

I like all fruits, but my favorite fruit is pear. I like pear juice, pear compote: everything with pear. My other favorite fruit is raspberry. I like vegetables in general, but my favorites are cucumber, lettuce and chard.

As for fast food, I like to eat "completos" and hamburgers.

I love to drink coffee.

Food positively affects my health,  I really eat in a varied and balanced way. The extremes are not good, you can eat everything, but in a responsible and conscious way with our body.

Post 3: My Favorite Piece of Technology

 Hi!

Today I will talk about my favorite piece of technology: Smarthphone.

It is my favorite piece of technology because its size is very comfortable to carry everywhere
and currently, it has many apps and different functions.

I use it to call, take pictures, play games, write messages of text, talk to friends and my family, also to study, because I have the app "U-cursos" and I see the notifications of different courses all day, everyday.

It is very important in my life, especially in the context of COVID-19, because I communicate with my family every day. But, it has cost me not to be so dependent, it is something that I work daily and I had good results.

I recommend using it, because it is very complete. Nowadays you can do many things with it, but always with responsibility, because everything in excess is not good.

Second post: Why did I choose my major?

 Hi!

In this post I will talk about my way to get to a career of Chemistry and Pharmacy and my aspirations with it.

When I was a child I dreamed of being the model who shows the weather on TV and also I dreamed of being a great scientist.

I am a very curious person and I played to disassemble things and I was always interested know how things they where made and how where they compose.

Always I was good student, but I preferred the chemistry, biology and maths.

Just as told them in the first post, I play the clarinet since 2013 and since that year I wanted to study Musical Interpretation. But in my last year of school thanks to my older sister I realized  that I closed myself of my other abilities and possible options. I realized that there more options and I continued with my love for science, especially chemistry.

I remembered that I was a child I liked open medicines and break them and see what they have inside, and more things and many things throughout my life. Finally, I decided for Chemistry and Pharmacy.

My experience in the career it has been good, but I wish it was face-to-face, because it is a career that needs laboratories.

I would like to have a doctorate and investigate, but also know and work in diffrent areas of the career.
